MAYOR DICK MURPHY DECLARES MAY 2ND, 2002 MARY WALSHOK DAY
May 2, 2002, has been declared by the Mayor of San Diego, Dick Murphy as Mary Walshok Day in honor of the award given to Dr. Mary Lindenstein Walshok by the Swedish Consul at the Lodge at Torrey Pines. Walshok is expected to receive this award regarding her outstanding work completed in the areas of technology and entrepreneurship in both Sweden and the United States. The medal she will receive this evening is the rank of Knighthood First Class, of the Royal Order of the Polar Star. The festivities take place this evening, at 5pm in La Jolla.
