EMCC is pleased to announce that MODELEASY+ for PC LINUX platforms is now available for testing. Those interested in participating in this test release should contact testing@emcc.com and specify that you are interested in the Linux Modeleasy+ test release.

This Linux version of Modeleasy+ corresponds to Release 5.3 which will soon be available on the Windows platform as well as AIX and Solaris platforms.

Modeleasy+ is a powerful, advanced econometric modeling package that has been in widespread use for more than 20 years. It is capable of doing estimations and simulations of econometric models written in a modeling language that is natural and easily learned. Several versions of Modeleasy+ are available for Unix, Windows 95/98, and Windows NT platforms. The software is distributed by the Econometric Modeling & Computing Corporation.

Modeleasy+ is superior to other modeling software because it lends itself easily to the estimation and simulation of large models having thousands of equations. It has a robust model description language that allows economists to quickly formulate their models and save them for future use. The model processing language of Modeleasy+ contains a large number of estimation techniques, as well as advanced simulation capabilities. Both of these can be applied to the model without any changes to the model itself. The efficiency of the simulation method gives Modeleasy+ unparalled performance on all platforms.
