Simulating and Automating Investment Ideas on the Web
Today Eurasia Software Ltd. launches TBOTS (Trading Bots), the first fully web-based technology enabling investors to simulate their own trading and investment ideas on decades of historic data, and to track their ideas on a continuous basis. TBOTS is easy to use and doesn't require programming or data feeds.
Do stocks perform better in January relative to other months? Does a buy and hold strategy yield better results than a profit taking strategy?
Today Eurasia Software Ltd. launches TBOTS (Trading Bots), the first fully web-based technology enabling investors to simulate their own trading and investment ideas on decades of historic data, and to track their ideas on a continuous basis. TBOTS is easy to use and
doesn't require programming or data feeds.
TBOTS is offered to retail investors at
http://www.tbots.com. More powerful versions of the TBOTS technology are made available to business customers in three formats: (1) TBOTS Hosting Service is a white-labeled hosted version aimed at financial service web sites seeking to offer TBOTS to their users; (2) TBOTS Dedicated Server is a high performance platform powering proprietary trading analysis; (3) TBOTS Professional Services is aimed at customers requiring a tailored product.
The TBOTS platform is based on an easy to use rule-based paradigm that makes it easier to translate investment ideas into useful automated strategies than any other product on the market. Investors can create investment and trading strategies by defining their own buy and sell criteria selected from a large choice of technical and fundamental rules. Rules can be
customized and combined to define strategies of
substantial complexity without the need to program.
Strategies on single stocks or on large baskets of stocks can be simulated over up to 20 years of
historic price and fundamental data producing
consolidated performance statistics.
In addition to strategies TBOTS offers a notification service that differs from existing alert services in that notifications of substantial complexity can be created on large baskets of stocks. In addition to automated tracking, investors can analyze listings of
historic alerts to assess frequency and timing.
'While a systematic approach to investing was always beneficial', says Peter Ritter, Chief Technology Officer, 'the time and effort required for proper implementation and testing is often impractical and expensive. By using TBOTS' intuitive web based user interface investors can now easily and cheaply identify and track meaningful investment ideas.'
To facilitate the handling of often-used or more
complex investment ideas, TBOTS is preparing an
offering of ready-to-use investment strategies.
Easy descriptions and straightforward performance
statistics make predefined investment strategies
suitable also for novice investors. The offering of predefined investment strategies and smart execution allows institutions like online brokers to add value to their execution services.
From today, TBOTS is available to retail investors at http://www.tbots.com free of charge for the basic service with more powerful features available to paying subscribers from less than $10 per month.
Amaury Hendrickx, Managing Director, says 'Financial institutions as diverse as online brokers, Electronic Communication Networks and hedge funds are keen to work with the TBOTS platform and we are currently working with these organizations to deliver the products they need.'
TBOTS is developed by London based Eurasia Software Ltd., a provider of advanced technology solutions to financial institutions.
More information can be found on the TBOTS web site at http://www.tbots.com. A brochure detailing the TBOTS service, a full description of the company and its technology is also available upon request at info@tbots.com or by telephone on +44 20 7581 3476.
