KbStart uses a powerful, adaptive, abbreviation search algorithm that allows you to enter any imaginable abbreviation to find the item you're looking for.

The individual set of items and their corresponding abbreviations don't need to be configured manually. As you type in an abbreviation, the list narrows to include only the items that contain the letters typed. The order that the items display is determined by the ranking engine so that the most likely matches are near the top. And, when you launch the item the abbreviation you used is remembered.
