Senator Reid losing support on Yucca in Nevada.

When questioned about Senator Harry Reid's present Yucca Mountain strategy, O'Neil noted, "What good are senate hearings that most committee members dont attend? Harry didnt deliver on his promise to kill Yucca a few years ago, and hes going to lose again. Every citizen in Nevada is going to lose big because Harry can't deal with reality. It's time to make lemonade out of lemons. Im afraid that we wont be protected, that we wont get our by-pass roads and rail lines, and we will lose massive funding opportunities unless Reid starts managing the problem."

Time to Make Lemonade out of Yucca Mountain Lemons.

LAS VEGAS - Pete ONeil, independent candidate for Nevadas new third

congressional district, announced his upcoming event to emphasize the

better options needed for Nevada as we approach the imminent senate

vote on Yucca Mountain.

Reinforcing his belief that "It's time for Nevada to make lemonade out

of the lemon we've been handed with Yucca Mountain," ONeil will be

setting up a lemonade stand on the sidewalk at 200 S. Third St., in

front of Traffic Court in downtown Las Vegas to bring home the

message. ONeil and some of his supporters will be passing out free

lemonade to locals, along with the message that It's time for Reid to

get real and make a deal!"

When questioned about Senator Harry Reid's present Yucca Mountain

strategy, O'Neil noted, "What good are senate hearings that most

committee members dont attend? Harry didnt deliver on his promise to

kill Yucca a few years ago, and hes going to lose again. Every

citizen in Nevada is going to lose big because Harry can't deal with

reality. It's time to make lemonade out of lemons. Im afraid

that we wont be protected, that we wont get our by-pass roads and

rail lines, and we will lose massive funding opportunities unless Reid

starts managing the problem."

Regarding the community support for his Las Vegas Valley Protection

Amendment, O'Neil asks "How can Reid ignore the recent polls showing

that 67% of the voters want our elected officials to cut the drama and

make a deal? Reid's planning to blow $5.5 million that will do nothing

but make a few advertising people richer --which makes Herrera happy,

but does nothing for the rest of us -- and it certainly scares

tourists away!"

The lemonade stand will be in service from 10am to 11am Wednesday, June 12th.

Drew Lords of the ONeil team added, We have made the stand just like

the one in the Little Rascals. I think we are going to help get the

message to Harry Reid that it's time to do the smart thing. Come join

us and quench your thirst while supporting better government

management!"
