NABC Names Reggie Strickland New Commissioner

The North American Boxing Council, today announced that Reggie Strickland, a former professional fighter who has been featured on HBO, ESPN, magazines, and newsprint world wide, has joined the sanctioning body as Commissioner and Chairman of the NABC Ratings Committee.

"We're pleased to add an expert with broadly recognized knowledge of the sport to our management team," said Ed Hutchison, President of the NABC. "Mr. Strickland has the right combination of industry background and in ring seasoning to help the NABC accelerate its outreach to all participants in the sport of boxing."

Reggie Strickland has already made the transition from boxer to organizer as a busy matchmaker in the Midwest. His boxing career included winning a Super Middleweight championship plus high profile matches with Derrick Harmon, Hugo Pineda, Chris Rosenbalm, Keith Holmes and others.

The NABC sanctions state, regional, national and intercontinental titles. As Commissioner and Chairman of the Ratings Committee, Reggie Strickland will be bringing together the best up-and-coming fighters and assisting in their career development as they progress toward world championships.
