An Easy Way to Manage the Content of Your Web-Site

While everyone is running for increasing functionality, the DataArt company addresses an average user with its LightSite publishing system for a mere $199.

The DataArt company that has worked with mostly large expensive projects until now, introduces to the market a piece of software whose price will pleasantly surprise its potential customers. The LightSite system price tag is just $199. Now anyone can afford a professional site with an update system and shake off ones dependence on a professional design studio.

The times when everybody was building a giant portal are gone. They left us many good publishing engines with complicated editorial processes, archives, news lines, and other important portal features. DataArt Company has been active during the Internet boom and has then developed two similar engines: NetNews for UNIX and WebEditorial for Windows. However, the portals loose their positions to sites of corporations that need worthy Internet presence, but are free of megalomania. The needs of such companies were in mind of DataArt when it developed its LightSite engine.

The main advantage of the system is that it can be easily adjusted to suit the needs of a specific project and that it can be used by any designer, even one that is not accustomed to programming. The system was written in Perl and works on any platform that supports this language. Perl platform was selected because this technology is most widely supported by ISPs. It is easy to expand the functionality of the engine if necessary, since it is provided with its source code and a detailed manual.

Details about the LightSite system can be found on the DataArt site at:
