29 May 2002 - BAA Lynton, the commercial property arm of BAA plc, has placed an order with international financial systems provider, Eclipse Computing, for new financial accounting and business management software, valued in the region of 60,000.

Eclipse Computing is implementing Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics, in order to provide BAA Lynton with an enterprise-wide financial solution that has highly sophisticated management reporting capabilities. It is anticipated that the roll-out of Microsoft Great Plains will increase the operational efficiency of the company and streamline business administration, allowing it to sustain strong business growth over the next five years.

John Andrews, Financial Controller at BAA Lynton, says, Microsoft Great Plains is a well proven financial and business management product that significantly reduces the administration workload in the finance function."

He continues, Microsoft Great Plains will enable us to produce detailed management reports which provide our business managers with improved control of Project costs and operating performance. This information can then be used to analyse business performance and drive decision-making within the organisation."

BAA Lynton is the commercial property division of BAA plc, the world's leading airport operator. In the UK, BAA owns Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Southampton, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen airports.

The implementation of Microsoft Great Plains is part of the companys drive to sustain its position as the UKs leading developer of airport-related properties. BAA Lynton has built up an increasingly impressive record in its three principal product areas: offices, warehouses, and hotels.

BAA Lynton has ambitious plans for business expansion throughout 2002 and beyond. The backbone of the development programme this year consists of office developments at Heathrow and Gatwick, warehouse opportunities at Stansted and Heathrow, and live hotel opportunities at Heathrow, Stansted, and Glasgow.

Commenting on the working relationship with Eclipse Computing, Andrews says, From the outset, we were under pressure to implement the system in a very short timeframe, within a fixed budget. The highly detailed implementation methodology and overall project management from Eclipse has been excellent. This provides us with a foundation upon which we can further enhance and develop our business systems infrastructure in order to sustain business growth."
