TWO FIRMS JOIN FORCES TO SIMPLIFY REAL ESTATE DUE DILIGENCE
Now that Internet heavy-weights commercialappraisal and ePhase have pooled their expertise on the Internet, appraisals and Phase I assessments are available from a single source. Real estate owners and investors can cut costs and save time by ordering both services at once.
ARNOLD, Md. May 29, 2002 -- Now that Internet heavy-weights commercialappraisal and ePhase have pooled their expertise on the Internet, appraisals and Phase I assessments are available from a single source. Real estate owners and investors can cut costs and save time by ordering both services at once.
Appraisals and Phase I environmental assessments are traditionally the most time-consuming parts of due diligence. By coordinating efforts, commercialappraisal and ePhase often manage to have both the appraiser and the assessor arrive at the property at the same time. They can also offer a reduced "package price" for the two services ordered simultaneously. Finally, if ePhase finds problems with the Phase I, commercialappraisal can address those issues immediately.
"We have the same customer base and business model," says commercialappraisal CEO John Simpson, "so getting together just made sense." (Title) L. Sherrerd Steele of ePhase agrees. "By pooling our efforts," she explains, "we can provide even better service than either of us could offer separately."
Future plans call for a new, joint website and eventual expansion to include titling services as well.
