Ericsson chooses Antepo's Jabber-powered ACCEPT(TM) to demonstrate J2ME(TM) support on its next-generation wireless device offerings.

Ericsson to highlight J2ME(TM) support on its latest communication devices using Antepo's Jabber-powered ACCEPT(TM) solution for Presence-based mobile Messaging.

New York, NY - June 5th, 2002. Antepo, Inc., a leading provider of Presence-based mobile Messaging technology, and Ericsson today announced that they will demonstrate J2ME based messaging services using Antepo's Jabber-powered ACCEPT(TM).

"We were looking for truly successful and portable applications to highlight our support for Java on our recent device offering", Andre Brunner, Head of Solution Management for Ericsson's Customer Unit says. "Antepo's ACCEPT solution came as a natural fit with our expectations."

Ericsson's demonstration illustrates the momentum behind mobile Java and positions Antepo as one of its true representatives. Antepo has an established track record in promoting J2ME(TM) as the client-side technology to support 2.5G and 3G IP-based communication offerings based on Jabber XMPP, cooperating with leading players like Ericsson to maintain and increase its edge. ACCEPT(TM)'s client-side technology eliminates dependencies on proprietary device APIs, rather focusing on portability for Presence-based mobile Messaging services. From carriers' standpoint, this objective enables to maximize access channels to an ARPU-enhancing communication service and to ensure compliance with as many devices as possible.

"This choice by Ericsson is an additional step towards proving that Antepo's cross-platform approach is a winner." Max Seguineau, Chairman and CEO of Antepo, says. "It's almost a year now that we have been leading the pace for J2ME(TM) Presence-based communication solutions, successfully and repeatedly demonstrating on leading industry implementations."
