WIZARDWORLD.COM LAUNCHES REDESIGN
Online collectors site launches redesign, new features, and WizardWorld Plus
TENNESSEE/OTTAWA, June 5, 2002-Visitors to WizardWorld.com, the online collectors site covering Comics, Sports Cards, Action Figures, Fantasy Gaming and more, are in for some exciting new changes.
Visitors can continue to expect daily news and exclusive stories about their favorite collecting interests. However, the redesigned areas on the site will offer additional material like:
• Multi-media interviews with key comics professionals, such as Marvel Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada.
• Movie trailers
• Brand-new columns with opinions of experts in regular columns like Beyond the Borders (Comics), In the Game (Sports Cards), Noise About Toys (Action Figures) and Its My Turn (Fantasy Gaming).
• Access to exclusive and special offers from Wizard Entertainment.
The redesign is the handiwork of WizardWorld.com Creative Director, Jon Cogan, and the WizardWorld.com online news and tech staff. Were very excited about the new look, although there are a lot more changes to come," Cogan said. Visitors are going to find it much more user friendly and dynamic, with all the cool multi-media stuff."
Weve been working very hard to cover more news in all areas of the site, and youll notice beefed-up coverage in Action Figures, Sports Cards and Fantasy Gaming as well as in Comics," said Janet Hetherington, Managing Editor of WizardWorld.com. Im also delighted with the addition of new expert columnists like Al Muir, Senior Editor of Beckett Hockey for our Sports Cards column, and Justin Mohareb for our Fantasy Gaming column. Both bring a lot of cachet to those columns."
Hetherington herself comes to WizardWorld.com after years of writing for such collectors publications as Amazing Heroes, Comic Book Collector, Combo, Wizard, Animation and acting as Editor of the annually published Toy Report. She is writing the new Noise About Toys column.
