But as useful as handheld devices are there has been confusion as to what handheld is best for the different medical departments. Should Palm OS be used for patient records or Pocket PC devices? Can handheld devices be integrated into existing medical databases and the internet to allow healthcare professionals remote access to patient information? To answer some of these questions Technocrats Consulting has published two white papers on using handheld devices in healthcare.
