Cranberry Township, PA - Cycloid Company, a manufacturer of an automatic tire pressure inflation and RF monitoring product, announced that its Chairman and CEO, Grant Renier, is featured in an online interview at CEOcast.com. Mr. Renier discussed Cycloids product, called AutoPumpÓ, the unique self-contained automatic tire inflation and tire monitoring system. The device automatically inflates and maintains pressure in each tire, is the size of a hockey puck and is mounted under the wheel ornament with a direct airway through the wheel into the tire, completely hidden from view.

Mr. Renier stated, "Two market studies conducted by one of the major automotive OEMs showed that over 85% of all automobile owners would include the optioned product as part of a new car purchase. And, they see the products primary value as safety and convenience. But, we also know that by keeping automobile tires inflated that fuel efficiency is increased and emissions are reduced along with tire wear."

Bringing U.S. vehicle tires up to their proper inflation pressure could avoid the purchase of 1.24 billion gallons of gasoline per year. This level of fuel conservation and mpg improvement occurs from only a 1/4-1/2 mpg improvement across all U.S. vehicles. Mr. Renier added, We find ourselves in the unique position of having very strong, world-wide patent protection for the only device that maintains automobile tire pressure, while serving the national interest in vehicle safety, reduction in oil consumption and improved air quality, at a very affordable price to the consumer for around than $100/vehicle."

AutoPump has been fully evaluated and tested by an automotive OEM and approved and scheduled for installation on vehicle platforms. The product, including its electronic tire RF monitoring function, has been evaluated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA") and included in their tire pressure monitoring reports to the Administration and Congress. Cycloid is also working with the largest aftermarket wheel manufacturer to offer an aftermarket version of the product, distributed through general automotive retail tire outlets.

Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, a strategic investor in Cycloid, understands the potential of AutoPump and assists the company in marketing, as well as with technical issues, since the firms inception. Cycloids first product, Cycloid ACS, was a higher-pressure version for heavy-duty trucks and was commercialized in 1997. Goodyear, two venture capital firms and private investors have provided financial support to the company.
