Intelligence expert/talk show host Andy Matin says President Bush's homeland security reorganization is a joke, hoax and may actually endanger Americans
INTELLIGENCE EXPERT/TALK SHOW HOST CALLS BUSH "HOMELAND SECURITY" REORGANIZATION PLAN
A "JOKE" AND "HOAX," SAYS THURSDAY'S PLAN IS "WAG THE DOG" ALL OVER AGAIN
NEWS CONFERENCE ADVISORY:
A PROGRAMMING NOTE FROM "ANDY MARTIN'S AMERICA"
(NEW YORK) Internet Broadcaster Andy Martin will present a special radio/Internet news conference edition of "Andy Martin's America" Monday, June 10th at 1:00 P.M. to denounce President Bush's Homeland Security reorganization plan as a "hoax" and "joke" which may actually endanger national security.
"President Bush's proposal to reorganize homeland security s a hoax because it creates a position responsible for security which carries with it no authority over any security service. The Secret Service is a protective service, not a counter-terrorism organization. Likewise for Customs, Border and the Coast Guard," says Martin.
"The proposal is a joke because it may actually endanger national security. By finger pointing at a homeland czar, the president allows the incompetents at the FBI and CIA to escape responsibility and accountability for future domestic terrorism incidents.
"I pray Congress will reject this monstrous proposal," Martin will state.
"As someone who criticized President Clinton for his 'Wag the Dog' bombardments, I think President Bush is now guilty of Wag the Dog tactics by announcing his plan precipitously to blunt congressional testimony which is embarrassing and damaging to the FBI. The homeland security reorganization plan is a form of transparent 'cover-up.'"
Martin's controversial program "Andy Martin's America" has become a fulcrum of foreign policy, political analysis and contemporary commentary on the Internet.
Martin is a Washington foreign policy consultant in the areas of military security and intelligence and was an assistant to U.S. Senator Paul H. Douglas. He has been an adjunct professor of law at the City University of New York.
Martin's radio program (WPBR-AM, West Palm Beach) covers Florida issues from noon-1 P.M. and national/foreign policy from 1-2 P.M. Radio call-in (561) 641-8256, (800) 810-9727. Internet radio website: 1340wpbr.com (click "on air").
