THE SINGLE GOURMET DC ANNOUNCES ITS GRAND OPENING JULY 9, 2002

The Single Gourmet DC Kicks-Off in the DC Metro Area with a Champagne Reception and Wine Tasting Dinner at Maggaino's Little Italy. The Single Gourmet is a Social, Dining and Travel Club for single professionals hoping to create new experiences, relationships and wonderful memories!

Washington, DC Metro ---The Single Gourmet DC (SGDC) is announcing its Grand Opening July 9, 2002. SGDC is a social, dining and travel club for single, professional men and women. Members range in age from their 30s to 60s and have very diverse social goals from trying new forms of entertainment they may not have tried on their own, to networking, meeting new friends or making a love connection!

The SGDC concept is simple," says Executive Directors and Event Planners Michelle Carter and Jacqueline Lincoln. Whether members are looking for companionship, friendship, or love, SGDC is the answer for the fun and adventure that is often missing from a busy professionals personal life. We provide members with a friendly and fun environment and plan great events including fine dining, social, sporting and cultural events. Weekend trips, domestic and international excursions are being planned for later in 2002! Whats best is there is no planning required on the members behalf. All they have to do is show up, have a good time and meet new friends in the DC Metro area. Its a truly fun and rewarding experience and one of the best ways to meet others like themselves."

The Single Gourmet has been a popular singles organization for over two decades with chapters in 22 cities in the US and Canada. Members have reciprocal privileges at other chapters and may attend events when visiting or transfer membership if relocating. SGDC stresses the idea of creating an inclusive and inviting atmosphere at events. Members are personally greeted at each SGDC event by the Event Planner at the Getting to Know You" hour. They are introduced to others so they wont feel intimidated about attending events alone.

SGDC is not a matchmaking or dating service, however, love connections and lifetime friendships do happen!

Annual membership costs less than $13 a month and entitles members to discounts off the cost of events, exclusive invitations to members-only events, priority reservations, and early distribution of The SGDC Times, our monthly newsletter.
