DULUTH, MN - Bluestone Press recently completed translation rights negotiations with Japan
Uni Agency, on behalf of Fusosha publishing firm. Fusosha purchased rights for the pulp novel,
Social Climbing," one of four stories published in Sparrows 1999 Northwoods Pulp -
Four Tales of Crime and Weirdness.
Fusosha is the center of the Fujisankei Communication Groups publishing activities, based
in Tokyo, Japan. Fusoshas foreign book division has sold more than 20 million copies of
foreign books since 1984.
Japan Uni Agency is one of Japans leading literary agencies.
Bluestone Press was established in early 1999 in Duluth, Minnesota, and is a member of
the Minnesota Independent Publishers Association (MIPA). It is expected to publish
Sparrows newest release, Fatally Flawed, in mid-summer of 2002. Flawed is volume two
of Sparrow's Northwoods Noir Trilogy. Social Climbing" was the first story of the series.
Northwoods Pulp is still in print and available through major online and offline bookstores.
