A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT OFFERS ACADEMIC COUNSELING SERVICES TO ANY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT-ATHLETE LOOKING TO PARTICIPATE ON THE COLLEGE LEVEL.

College Bound Athletes at Work Educational Foundation, Inc. is a nationwide non-profit organization that will provide quality counseling services in efforts to empower high school athletes to become eligible to participate in college athletics.

A combination of personal experiences and an academic interest in Athletics and High School student-athletes sparked this non-profit educational foundation. College Bound Athletes at Work, Inc. was founded by Kimberli Perry to implement an education program to prevent freshman ineligibilty in college athletics. "As a former college coach, I remember being disappointed many times to see how potentially great high school athletes were unable to continue their development in athletics because they did not prepare academically", says Perry. "I used to tell my athletes all the time that the will to prepare to win is more important than the will to win."

Most Universities/Colleges have had to deal with freshmen ineligibilty at one time or another. Guidance Counselors at most high schools across the nation, have little or no knowledge of the eligibility requirements to educate their student-athletes and their parents. This is where College Bound Athletes at Work Educational Foundation comes in. "We only emphasize preparing academically, not marketing athletic ability", says Perry. "If you do not have the classes or the test scores, you just might get passed up by some other student-athlete that does. We academically prepare our clients to be able to participate in athletics at any college or university in the nation(that includes NAIA, NCAA and NJCAA). We develop and implement individual academic plans and track our student-athletes until they have graduated from high school. We also evalutate transcripts and provide the student-athlete all of their options."

This Fall 2002 College Bound Athletes at Work will be touring the state of Mississippi giving Outreach/Awareness seminars to student-athletes.
