Twelve-year old software solution provider/process automation specialists Open Door Software announces the release of CardU! an easy-to-use age and ID verification software application that works on any IBM-compatible PC with at least a track 2 magnetic card reader to record in the database and verify some of the important drivers license information contained on the track. With just a swipe of the ID card, food and beverage establishments (nightclubs, bars, restaurants, liquor stores, drive-thru and convenience stores) or sellers of tobacco products can verify whether patrons are of legal age to purchase. CardU warns if the ID is expired and, from the birth date information read or entered, calculates the age of the person. CardU can accept a manual entry if the ID does not have a magnetic stripe or the stripe doesnt read. There is also a report of the information available through CardU that can be limited by a user defined date range and be printed.
