40-50% failure rate in high school Math leads MiLearn e-Learning to provide online Math complements for High School & College Students.

Ottawa-Gatineau ---June 15, 2002-MiLearn e-Learning (www.milearn.com), an online learning firm, based in Gatineau Que. has launched their first 10 Internet-based course modules specifically designed for the high school & college student. These present course complements" meet the objectives and competencies of Grade 11 Quebec & Grade 10 Ontario Math programs.

Online complements, as designed by MiLearns in-house Math consultants, provide the student with a fun and interesting alternative resource where interactive and animated definitions, concepts, and problems bring the language of mathematics to life.

MiLearns market research on Internet courseware resources has shown that there is little in the way of comprehensive online course packages for the high school and student. Now, through MiLearn, the online student can go to one location and find a course resource, specific to their needs.

With our Math complements we have strived to design content that not only meets the Ontario & Quebec curriculums and objectives but offers a fun, and interactive environment which is familiar to most high school students." states Michael Burnatowski, President of MiLearn.

Development is continuing in providing online Math course complements for Ontario Grades 9, 11,12, as well as Quebec Math 416 and 536 curriculums, all slated as fall releases.

Mr. Burnatowski is keenly aware of the challenge of transmitting the technical content of courses to students through the Internet. The online course complement, began with our work with Heritage College (CEGEP) and their partnership in delivering distance education to the James Bay Cree School Board. Our online mathematics course was such a success that we immediately looked at offering the same opportunity to high school students throughout Quebec and Ontario. Its an excellent and extremely affordable use of the Internet."

In addition to its web-based High School and College course complements, the MiLearn web site offers a pleasant, fun and user-friendly experience where pre-determined live" courses, message boards, teacher monitored chat rooms, and a virtual classroom await. MiLearn provides web-conference applications in audio/video format where in pre-determined courses, the teacher and student interact in live, real-time sessions.

MiLearn e-Learning, is a division of WebSpanner Inc., a privately owned corporation established in Quebec in 1999. For more information visit: http://www.milearn.com
