Audio Comedy "Ambassador Service" Concludes First Series
(PRWEB) June 20, 2002 - With the release of the ninth episode on Friday, June 21st, the chart-dominating audio comedy Ambassador Service" completes its first series. Series writer and producer Robert Parson of Albion, MI says fans will not be disappointed. I may not have topped the bizarre revelation in the 8th episode, but there are still some surprises left."
In Ambassador Service," William Montgomery is appointed to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to a South Pacific island nation, where he discovers that things are less than they seem.
The series was produced and distributed entirely on the internet, with cast members scattered throughout North America. The voice actors would record their lines in their homes and email them to me. Other than my son, who has a part in the series, none of the actors have met each other."
Parson says this created some interesting challenges. Even though the actors couldnt interact with each other, they really brought the characters to life."
The internet played a crucial role in the production. Ambassador Service is a type of audio comedy that exists in a small niche market. The internet gave me access to a larger talent pool and is making it available to a wider audience than traditional marketing methods. 'Ambassador Service would not have been possible without the internet."
The series is available as a free download for a limited time at www.ampcast.com/nbi . Every episode of Ambassador Service" is in the Top 20 of the ampcast.com Spoken Word- Comedy" chart.
A second Ambassador Service" series is under consideration. But for now, Parson is writing his next audio production. Invasive Species," which he hopes to release by the end of the year.
