Daffodil DB is a SQL-99 specification compliant, capable, reliable, scalable, high-performance, embeddable and lightweight Java-based relational database engine (RDBMS).

Daffodil DB has been built in compliance with the latest industry standards viz. SQL 99 and JDBC 3.0.

Daffodil DB supports almost all constructs of SQL 99 including trigger, updateable view, table level and column level constraints, UDT, schema, domain, user, role, privilege, batch operation, join, aggregate functions, rich inbuilt function library, sub-queries, intersection and union, all isolation levels, save-point, rich set of SQL data types, stored procedure and distributed transactions (XA). Daffodil DB can be included as a jar file in any Java application.

Daffodil DB JDBC Driver (Type 4) provides complete support for JDBC 3.0 features, including optional features like save-point, rowset, UDT, XA, connecting pooling, batch operations, updateable resultsets for all types of select statements, partial fetching in resultsets etc. Daffodil DB JDBC Driver has been certified for J2EE applications by Sun Microsystems.
