Rural Nevada Tourism e-News Bureau Opens in Ely

Travel and tourism news stories, feature articles and tourism briefs will soon be emanating from rural Nevada via the Rural Nevada Tourism e-News Bureau. The newly formed organization, operated by two professional writers, began sending out e-releases June 18 and was designed to provide tourism and travel writers and editors with timely, helpful and informative information about Rural Nevada travel and tourism issues.

ELY, Nevada (PRWEB) June 20, 2002 -- Travel and tourism news stories, feature articles and tourism briefs will soon be emanating from rural Nevada via the Rural Nevada Tourism e-News Bureau.

The newly formed organization, operated by two professional writers, began sending out e-releases today.

Bureau Chief, Susan Klopfer, has worked as a journalist and editor for over 20 years, most recently as city reporter for the Branson (MO) Daily News where she also edited the papers entertainment magazine. She is a former acquisitions and development editor for Prentice Hall and holds a Masters degree in business from Indiana Wesleyan University. Her undergraduate degree in communication is from Hanover College.

Klopfer is the author of the computer book, Abort, Retry, Fail!" (Prentice Hall) that was an alternate selection for the Book of-the-Month Club. She has also worked as a journalist in Nevada, Indiana and Oregon and has received news reporting awards from the Missouri Association of Managing Editors and from the Missouri State Press Association.

Editor-in-Chief, Lorraine Clark, owns a regional publishing group based in Ely, Clark Publications, that works with regional chambers of commerce and produces the Highway 93 Visitors Guide and several related annual publications to promote travel along the route. Clark Publications also produces Reflections, a quarterly Arts and Entertainment Magazine for White Pine County; the White Pine High School Alumni Newsletters, the Ely Renaissance Society Mural Tour, and many other promotional pieces.

Clark holds a Masters degree from Kansas State University in English and is a former high school English instructor. Clark also teaches courses for Great Basin College.
