Saddleback Civic Light Opera presents musical theatre this summer that is suitable for the entire family!

Mission Viejo, California: Saddleback Civic Light Opera is celebrating their 25th Anniversary Season with shows suitable for the entire family. TINTYPES, a retrospective of early American music opened the season in the cabaret theater. Next up is PETER PAN, which opens this July, and closing the season is one of Americas most beloved musicals, THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Suggested by The Story of the Trapp Family Singers, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II created a truly beautiful score, with book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, that is beloved around the world. Now it is time for the stage at the McKinney Theater to come alive with The Sound of Music," My Favorite Things," Sixteen Going on Seventeen," Do-Re-Mi," and Edelweiss." THE SOUND OF MUSIC plays in the McKinney Theatre, on the campus of Saddleback College, August 1 --18, 2002.
