FREE PHONE HELP FOR INDEPENDENT MUSICIANS
Orlando author offers free conference call seminars for emerging artists.
ORLANDO, June 27, 2002: Spincycle Media is proud to announce that Orlando-area author Joe Taylor Jr. will resume his series of phone-based seminars for musicians on July 16, 2002 at 9PM, Eastern Time.
"We've spent six months researching for the new edition of Grow Your Band's Audience," Taylor said. "These teleclasses are the perfect opportunity for musicians to learn how to build better relationships and book more shows, all for the price of a phone call."
Musicians can register for the seminars at GrowYourBandsAudience.com, or by calling 1-866-JOE-TAYLOR.
"Grow Your Band's Audience" contains checklists, strategies and sample letters that working musicians have successfully used to book more shows, sell more tickets, and make a comfortable living making music. The 2003 edition of Taylor's book arrives in stores on August 27, 2002.
Taylor and his research team interviewed successful independent musicians and club owners. He identified three important trends among professional musicians:
| | - On average, when you include the debt burden placed on artists by recording companies, independent artists earn and keep more money than artists signed to major labels.
|
| | - Artists can earn significant income by owning their own record labels, by writing songs that get placed in film and television productions, and by playing at least two concerts per week.
|
| | - The best thing an independent musician can do to secure steady income is to grow their core audience.
