Digital Atlantic an emerging provider of advanced communications solutions, today announced the launch of the Scintillion family of products utilizing the Cascading Line of Sight (patent pending) technology. Scintillion is a multi gigabit laser based network solution that supports data, video and voice on a single platform. The scalability and economies will greatly reduce the time and cost a Broadband service provider undertakes in order to build out networks to meet the growing demand for high speed services.

Scintillion is a convergent technology that can connect to any legacy network allowing an existing service provider to evolve to a packet based network. As a stand alone solution Scintillion is the answer for new emerging providers to control and operate their own network end to end. By incorporating the four key elements (transport, switching, access and power) of the network into a small enclosure, a carrier has the freedom to build distributed solution anywhere.

A unifying platform creating a new network mosaic
