Ikimbo Acquires Redmind

Ikimbo plans to integrate Redmind's archive software with its real-time applications to offer complete archiving, retrieval and analysis of real-time communication.

HERNDON, VA. -- Ikimbo Inc., a leader in real-time applications, today announced it has acquired Redmind, a California-based company that creates applications based on instant messaging for the real-time enterprise. Ikimbo plans to integrate Redminds flagship product, Genius Archive, with its technology to provide full-featured archive, retrieval, and analysis capabilities for real-time communications.

Genius Archive is a corporate instant messaging application that allows enterprises to archive instant messaging communications and extract business intelligence from these records. This business intelligence can be analyzed and used to monitor and initiate real-time notification and alerts. Deployed by enterprises using Lotus Sametime and Jabber, the application meets SEC 17a-4 and NASD 3101 compliance regulations.

Ikimbo plans to fully integrate the Genius Archive application with its own technology, and offer the software both as a separate product and as a key component in other planned products.

Rahul Ballal, Redminds CEO and president, has joined Ikimbo as director of business development.
