Summer Tips for Teachers Featured in July Issue of The Teachers.Net Gazette

The July issue of the Teachers.Net Gazette supports educators as they use the summer schedule to plan and prepare for the coming school year.

SAN DIEGO, CA -- The July issue of the Teachers.Net Gazette webzine features tips for teachers as they make the most of the summer schedule to plan and prepare for the new school year.

A cover story by Barbara and Sue Gruber instructs educators on how to "Rest, Relax, Recharge and Have Some Fun!" during summer. "Prepare, prepare, prepare" is the mantra of Harry and Rosemary Wong in their June-July column, "Teaching Procedures is Teaching Expectations." The Wongs write monthly columns on effective teaching, exclusively for the Teachers.Net Gazette.

Another regular contributor, Ginny Hoover writes about an activity that will help teachers REALLY get to know their new students this Fall. Innovative classroom recipes this month include ice cream in a bag, Kool Aid Dough, and links to edible insect recipes sure to drive students buggy: Banana Worm Bread and Rootworm Beetle Dip. One teacher contributes her watermelon craft activities for use as part of a summer theme for those whose schools open in July and August.
