ENTER THE LUMIX DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY AWARD

Lumix have just launched a brand new competition at www.panasonic-europe.com/lumix/awards/home.asp . There are loads of brilliant prizes on offer.

Lumix are offering you the chance to participate in two competitions, the Lumix Peoples Award and the Lumix Award, and have the chance of winning Lumix digital cameras, palm pdas or exclusive participation for two people in a photographic workshop by a well known photographer or by a well known photographic school!!!

The Lumix Peoples Award

The Lumix Peoples Award competition will take place each month from June to September 2002, any images you enter will be featured on the site and people visiting the digital photography gallery at the site will be able to vote directly for their favourite image. In order to vote you must register on the site.
The competition will award prizes for images taken by a digital camera in two formats, single image and multiple image. Each format has three categories, Expression, Environment and Experience. Single image is just that- submit one image conveying the theme of the category you choose to enter. Multiple image is different -- it gives you the opportunity to submit 6 images to tell a story, illustrate an idea or create something that a single image doesnt allow.

We want to encourage you to have fun and experiment with your photographs so dont be put off if you dont have the best digital camera; so enter in all categories if you want.

A panel of respected photographers will judge the competition, and the winners will receive lumix digital cameras and Palm PDAS as prizes.

The competition is now on

The call for entries will be open for 4 months from the 1st June 2002 to the 30th September 2002. Entries for the monthly Lumix Peoples award will be automatically considered for the Lumix Award.
