(PRWEB) June 29, 2002 -June 18, 2002-Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). Industrialinfo.com identified fourteen (14) new chemical plants that started operations during the first half of 2002 and anticipates that only one or two more will start-up through the end of June. The first half of 2002 has proven to be a slow start for the chemical industry as many expected.
"Estimates early in the year indicated the CPI (Chemical Processing Industry) would see as many as 35 grassroot plants begin operations in 2002 and despite a slow start to 2002, it appears that we might be on target," commented Trey Hamblet, Chemical Group Manager with Industrialinfo.com.
