Coca-cola:'CELEBRATE THE FUSION' IN SRI LANKA
Coca-Cola Sri Lanka has paired up with one of the island's most popular music acts - Bathiya & Santhush.
(PRWEB) July 5, 2002 -Cola community and will touch our local consumers through their unique blend of music that will meet the aspirations and tastes of an emerging young generation," said P.K. Chatterjee, country manager, Sri Lanka, at the media launch of the partnership.
The company's strategy in Sri Lanka mirrors B&S's music: to inspire teens to embrace the new without letting go of local heritage. The pop duo's style - contemporary yet deeply rooted in local culture and tradition - inspires teenagers to explore and to express themselves.
B&S will serve as "brand ambassadors" during the two-year partnership. Concerts will be organized and consumer promotions launched.
B&S is the biggest musical act to hit the Sri Lankan music scene since the 1970s. Performing music in both English and Sinhala, their unique fusion of hip-hop, dance and Sinhala pop bridge the gap between urban and rural music fans. Their first two albums went platinum, and the duo recently signed a recording contract with Sony Music/"M" Entertainment.
