ASTON MARTIN JAGUAR LAND ROVER CONTINUES SALES MOMENTUM REPORTING BEST MONTH OF THE YEAR

IRVINE, Calif. (PRWEB) July 5, 2002 -- Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover North America reports record June sales in the United States totaling 9,474 vehicles sold, up 67 percent. Jaguar reports 5,396 cars sold for the month, up nearly 63 percent from the same period last year. Land Rover sold 4,005 vehicles, up nearly 72 percent from the same period last year. Range Rover sales were up nearly 150 percent as 1,223 were sold in June compared to the same month last year when 509 were sold.

The sales volumes for Jaguar and Land Rover continue to remain strong as we complete the first half of the year," said Richard Beattie, executive vice president of Sales and Marketing for Jaguar and Land Rover. "The organization is committed to the sales goals we have set and we look forward to continuing our momentum the second half of the year."

The organization has sold 51,597 vehicles in the first six months, up over 60 percent from the same period last year when 32,386 vehicles were sold. Jaguar reports 32,642 cars sold year-to-date, up over 62 percent. Land Rover reports sales totaling 18,662 vehicles, an increase of over 57 percent.
