"Nas/Jay-Z Controversy- Carmen Breaks Her Silence Next Week"

Nas/Jay-Z Controversy"
Carmen Breaks Her Silence Next Week"

New York, NY - Yesterdays cancelled press conference called by Carmen Bryan who shares a 7-year old daughter with famed rapper Nas, will be held Wednesday July 10, 2002 . The conference will began at 11am at a location to be announced.

The press conference will address sexually explicit lyrics contained in a new song recently recorded and released by the Roc-a-fella recording artist, Camron. During the song, rapper Camron mentions R. Kelly as an example while describing a lewd and obscene sexual act to be committed against Nas and Carmens daughter.

Carmen became known to many after her name was repeatedly mentioned as ammunition in an apparent rap war waged over radio air-waves between Nas and Jay-Z. For months since, on-air radio personalities, websites and the general public have speculated over every aspect of Carmens personal life from her alleged personal relationships with Jay-Z and Allen Iverson to her ethnicity and daughters favorite food of choice.

Further adding to her privacy issues, a song titled, Carmens Got A Gun" containing icy lyrics aimed at both Jay-Z and Nas was released by a young woman claiming to be Carmen. To the public, it appeared as if Carmen had finally had her say.

In a statement released to the press, however, Carmen stated otherwise, saying,
While I can appreciate that someone felt the need to respond to this controversy on my behalf, I would like to state for the record that I am not a rapper and I did not record this song. I also do not own a gun nor am I supporter of violence." Possibly foreshadowing what was to come, Carmen also ended her statement with, Very soon, the world will hear what I have to say."

The world will be listening next week as Carmen and fellow supporters speak out against the explicit lyrics directed at she and Nas 7-year old daughter. Enough is enough" Carmen said on Tuesday.
