Asset management business of HBOS underpins new organisation with eWares CRM
Clerical Medical Investment Management, a UK financial services company with STG60BN under management has selected CRM software from eWare to underpin its new service launch later this year. The solution will include full deployment on PDA devices using GPRS.
London- 8th July 2002 - eWare, the CRM solutions provider, today announces that Clerical Medical Investment Management (CMIM), the asset management business of HBOS plc, has selected eWare as it prepares to rebrand and relaunch under a new identity later this year.
eWare will be used to manage the various market segments that CMIM service. In addition, the product will be rolled out to remote sales workers on PDAs in what will become the largest fully functional CRM deployment on hand-held devices in the UK to date. The deal was completed in conjunction with eWares financial services partner Kynetix. CMIM were assisted in the selection and implementation by CityIQ, one of the leading securities industry consultancies.
The 60 billion plus asset management business has ambitious plans for the future in both the retail and institutional markets. This presents a complex sales and product management challenge which is why CMIM needed the flexibility of the eWare solution. A deskbound CRM solution would only provide part of the solution as Gary Mairs Managing Director, Asset Management explained;
Our teams of Client Directors and Sales personnel travel extensively to meet with clients and consultants. They are supported by highly qualified administration teams that similarly interact with those same clients and consultants. We did not think we would get a single solution that they could all use without compromising the information that they would have access to. With eWare we can provide the same solution on the desktop, on disconnected laptops and on PDAs so that everyone, in whatever location, has access to the same information and inputs to the same system."
The eWare solution has already gone live in its first phase of implementation after only 4 weeks and will be rolled out throughout the organisation in the coming months.
Ivan MacDonald, CEO of eWare commented This deal was won purely and simply on the basis of superior internet technology and the ability to execute. The significant deployment on hand-held devices demonstrates the growing maturity of these technologies in the business environment and clearly shows how they fit in with a well-structured CRM deployment plan. CMIM is building a system for its current and future needs and we are the only CRM company in the position to support this today."
