Bob Collet Elected to Signafor Board of Directors

Tyson?s Corner, VA - July 8, 2002 -- Signafor, Inc. has elected Robert D. Collet to their Board of Directors. Based in Tyson?s Corner, VA, Signafor develops high-speed, switched IP technologies to enable rapid network failure recovery, congestion avoidance as well as delivery of data, voice and video onto a single wireless, copper or optical network. Mr. Collet is currently Chief Technology Officer of Velocita Corporation, where he is responsible for its optical, transmission and data services technology. Velocita is building a large part of AT&T?s and its own Next Generation Optical network. Before assuming the CTO position in 2001, Mr. Collet served as President of Velocita?s Data Services Unit. From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Collet was Vice President and General Manager, Data Services of Teleglobe Communications Corporation, where he was responsible for Marketing, Engineering and Operations. From 1995 ? 1996 he worked for Sprint Communications Corp, as Director, Sales Engineering in the Government Systems Division. Between 1991 and 1995, he initiated the development and led the engineering, construction and operations of Sprint?s US and global Internet backbone and Managed Network services. Mr. Collet has a BSEE from the University of Massachusetts, a MSEE from Georgia Institute of Technology and a MBA from American University. He was Chairman, Commercial Internet eXchange (CIX) Association 1993-1998. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Comptel, and is chairman of the Internet and Technology committee. Mr. Collet was a founder of Pluris and has served on its technical advisor board as well as at TABs at Red Creek and Meriton Networks.
