Minneapolis, Minnesota (July 5, 2002) -- Littler Mendelson, the country's largest employment and labor law firm, announces the election of Minnesotan Marko Mrkonich to its Executive Committee. The nine attorneys in Littler's Minneapolis office, founded in May 1998, train, counsel and defend clients ranging from local nonprofit agencies to national Fortune 500 companies, drawing on the depth and expertise of Littler's 360 attorneys in 31 offices throughout the country to provide effective and efficient advice, training and litigation assistance.

It shows Littlers commitment to the National model and shows Littlers strong commitment to Minnesota," said Marko Mrkonich. It is an honor and shows that I am trusted by my peers within the firm. Minnesota has a voice in deciding issues in a national firm."

Rotating with Mrkonich on the committee is Peter Susser, managing partner of Littlers Washington, DC office. Both attorneys have significant management and committee experience.

They are hard working, successful attorneys as well as individuals of great integrity who are respected by attorneys and staff," said Littlers President and Managing Director, Wendy Tice-Wallner. We are very fortunate that they are willing to put their energies towards our firm's future. Their addition will add a new geographic dimension to firm governance by adding mid-West and Eastern representation to the Executive Committee."

AREAS OF PRACTICE

Mrkonich focuses his practice on discrimination, other employment litigation, client counseling, and traditional labor law issues. He counsels clients on the proper handling of termination and discipline decisions, reorganizations and reductions in force, leaves of absence, and other aspects of personnel management.
