iGetNet Provides "Natural" Remedy for the Web Search Blues
Speed and efficiency make IGN Keword a practical choice for those who no longer want to nagigate the net using complicated domain names with technical ideioms such as "http://, "www" and "@" or hunt through thousands of search engine results to find what they're looking for.
Since it's explosive launch in May 2002, iGetNet, the Irvine California based web solutions company, has become the fasted growing provider of the direct navigation keyword search system in the United States. iGetNet's proprietary technology called IGN Keyword allows people to use natural, everyday language to hunt for products and services throughout the world on the Internet. Just type whay you're looking for into the Internet Explorer address bar and your're instantly whisked to the website of the company or person who owns the IGN Keyword.
"Keyword Search is what the Browser address bar was destined for since it's conception says iGetNet's CEO, Craig Holland. People have always wanted the ability to find what they're looking for using natural language. IGN Keyword provides the solution. We're making it easier to bring business to businesses on the Internet." If you're looking for a flower shop in New York City, for example, you merely type in "flowers New York" and you're immediately connected to a website of a florist in New York. Or if you want instant access to a corporate website like "Staples" you simply type their name in the browser address bar and your're immediately linked to their website.
Since the recent demise of Real Names, a company largely credited with pioneering the direct access concept, iGetNet reports that tens of thousands of Real Names customers have migrated over to the IGN Keyword system with thousands more expected before the $100 migration offer ends on August 1st. "We're providing a safe haven for lost Real Names customers," says iGetNet President Todd Johnson.
Several notable advantages of the IGN Keyword system over that formally offered by Real Names is iGetNet's ability to offer single word generics or "power words" to its customers. Words like Auto, Travel and Realtor are being sold on a first come, first serve basis. "And you're guaranteed traffic to your web site with built-in targeting capabilities so you can control and centeralize your advertising efforts," adds Johnson.
Anyone can use the IGN Keword system by logging on to iGetNet's website at igetnet.com and downloading the plug-in located on the home page. To date over 500 thousand have downloaded the patch and are using the system. "With current alliances that we're forming with several strategic Internet partners, our goal is 25 million IGN Kewword users in the next sixty days," says Holland. Not bad for a company that launched only sixty days ago.
iGetNet focuses on providing its business customers with technologies that enhance their Internet business presence and bring them additonal customers.
