VISUAL ARTIST RECEIVES NUMEROUS WEB AWARDS
BERKELEY, CA Berkeley-based artist Elizabeth Hack has been the recipient of nine awards during a twelve-month period for the design of her web site http://www.elizabethhack.com .
The awards include the prestigious Golden Web Award from the International Association of Web Masters and Designers (IAWMD), the World Web Award from Artspace 2000, and her site was selected as a Cool Pick by Coolpick.com. In addition, the design firms Jeff Hobrath Art Studio and Expressive Designs have honored Hack with the Jeff Hobrath Art Studio Award and the Expressive Designs Web Excellence Award.
Hack received these awards for her concept and design of an online exhibition space. The cyber gallery features her paintings the Wave Series -- an ongoing project that incorporates mixed media. The web site is an outgrowth of my paintings, which I consider inner landscapes. Excavating through the composition, my work expresses energy and spirit. It is who I am. Being able to express yourself, regardless of the medium is what art is all about."
Elizabeth Hack's paintings have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout California including the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, the Commonwealth Club Gallery in San Francisco, the University of California in Berkeley at the ASUC Studio and the Heller Gallery, the Hayward Arts Council Gallery in Hayward, Gloria Delson Fine Art,the Soolip Gallery in West Hollywood, the BGH Gallery in Santa Monica, the Berkeley Art Center Gallery in Berkeley, Carol Dabb Fine Art, the Ashkenazy Gallery in Los Angeles, and the Orlando Gallery in Sherman Oaks.
