JOHN WASHBURN ANNOUNCES NEW SHOW DATES;
FIRST TIME APPEARANCES IN MA. VENUES
JOHN WASHBURN is celebrating last months successful mid-west tour and the recent release of his debut solo CD Stumbling Still Warm... (Wayward Records) with more live concerts in July.
WASHBURN and his band The Wayward Saints will perform many of the songs from his album as well as new compositions, and are appearing for the first time in two venues in Massachusetts: the Kendall Café in Cambridge and the Pearl Street Nightclub in Northampton. Additionally, a full Northeast tour is in the works for the Fall and will be announced soon.
Songwriters Monthly Magazine calls the album: ...gritty and rootsy with a definite edge. An album bursting with personality!" Eric Sorenson of Amplifier.com states: It's a cool slice of Americana, with Dylan, Neil Young and contemporary roots-rock overtones."
WASHBURN says he is looking forward to performing in new cities and winning new fans," and calls the shows an opportunity to play my music in front of first time audiences. Its always exciting to see their reaction and hear their feedback."
Prior to heading off on the road, WASHBURN completed duties as producer for Melanie Gabriel, daughter of British rocker Peter, on her debut recording effort. That CD is slated for independent release this fall.
