Lovers of camp will rejoice in the plot of the self-proclaimed Mistress of Darkness' latest film. Combining the themes of Roger Corman and Vincent Price classic horror films with a dose of the Rocky Horror Picture Show's musical numbers, Elvira's Haunted Hills takes place in 1851. Elvira and her French maid, ZouZou, are en route to perform in the Parisian revue of "Yes I Can Can" but inadvertently end up in the medieval castle of the sinister Lord Vladimere Hellsbus. Bearing an uncanny resemblance to Vladimere's long-dead wife, Elvira learns of the Hellsbus curse and-naturally-finds herself in deep danger. The rest of the story-as any of Elvira's millions of fans should expect-then takes hilarious twists and turns for the voluptuous Elvira and the film's cast of over-the-top characters.
