New Service Offers Globally Accessible Spam-Free E-mail
MailCircuit.com Utilizes Unique Proprietary Technology to Keep Bulk E-mail
at Bay
Annapolis, MD - MailPort25 Inc., the owner of Spam Recycle.com, today
unveiled MailCircuit.com [mailcircuit.com], a spam-free, web-based e-mail
service to compete with HotMail, Yahoo and other web-based e-mail
services. Unlike other e-mail services, MailCircuit utilizes a new,
patent-pending technology to keep virtually all bulk e-mail at bay while
letting the e-mail messages users actually want get through.
"With both spam filters and Congress failing to adequately protect e-mail
users from the predatory marketing practice of spamming, the time has come
to give users control of their inboxes," said Stan Weatherby, executive
director of MailCircuit.com. "That is why we are offering MailCircuit to
users. With MailCircuit, users get the e-mail they want while stopping the
mail they hate."
The MailCircuit.com e-mail system utilizes a "handshake verification"
process to sort out the bulk spam e-mail from regular e-mail. In this
process, any e-mail sent to a MailCircuit account is immediately compared
to a list of acceptable addresses indicated by the MailCircuit user. The
system also utilizes a system-wide block that cross-references all
incoming mail against a very large database of known spammers.
If the sender isn't on the user's acceptable list, the sender immediately
gets an e-mail from the MailCircuit system asking them to verify that they
are a real person and not a bulk mailer. If they respond correctly, the
mail is allowed to pass through the MailCircuit system to the user's
inbox. This is a one-time process. After a sender verifies, they are
automatically added to that MailCircuit user's verified list and need
never verify again.
All unverified messages are held in a special "unverified messages" folder
that is accessible by the MailCircuit user. The user can either scan those
messages or ignore them; it's their choice. After a predetermined number
of days, those unverified messages are deleted and automatically forwarded
to the Spam Recycling Center [SRC] where they are used for spam research
and are forwarded to the Federal Trade Commission and Congress to help
illustrate the growing problem of spam.
One of the additional problems with spam is the proliferation of
viruses. Mailcircuit users get added protection with e-mail virus
scanning from Sophos -- giving Mailcircuit users the peace of mind they
deserve from their e-mail provider.
"This system is ideal for individuals and families who are tired of
sifting through the piles of porno ads and e-mail scams that are flooding
their inboxes," said Weatherby. "Users can block specific addresses,
access multiple accounts, even download mail from other POP 3 enabled
e-mail addresses. This system is the definition of e-mail user empowerment."
The biggest problem with spam is that it shifts the cost of advertising on
to the consumer. The consumer is paying for access to their e-mail so they
shouldn't be asked to pay the way for spammers as well. That is one of the
greatest strengths of MailCircuit.com; for $15 dollars a year, it protects
consumers and automatically fights back against the spammers by forwarding
their unwanted ads to the Spam Recycling Center.
If you would like to see the verification system in action, just send an
e-mail message to pressdemo@MailCircuit.com and wait. You will receive a
verification e-mail in just a few seconds. Follow the instructions to see
just how easy the system is to use.
