SOURCE INTERNATIONAL TO PREMIERE JANUARY 12-14, 2003, IN NEW YORK

Source International is a new global sourcing and supply-chain management exhibition for all sectors of the global footwear, luggage, leather goods, leather and non-leather apparel, upholstery and accessory industries.

PRINCETON, N.J. (PRWEB) July 13, 2002 - Source International (Si), the global sourcing and supply chain management trade fair, is slated to premiere January 12-14, 2003, at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York. Servicing the North American market, the show is designed to bring together all sectors of the worldwide footwear, leather goods, luggage, leather and non-leather apparel, upholstery and accessory industries.

Si is expected to draw suppliers and vendors from every sector of the complex modern supply chain, including companies that create the technologies for managing, ordering, tracking and stocking in the process of changing raw materials into finished products.

"New York offers the perfect venue for the worlds companies to gather and learn what the American market needs," said Raymond Bianchi, Si show director. "It just makes sense to hold this new event in the fashion, sourcing and design capital of the United States - New York City."

Si is the first show to serve sourcing and supply chain professionals from around the United States by bridging the gap between the worlds suppliers and vendors and the American marketplace.

Si comprises three vertically integrated shows serving different supply chain sectors:

Material Source showcases leather, textiles, synthetics, trims and components from around the world.
Technology Source highlights the leading-edge systems and technologies implemented for design, supply chain management, logistics, packaging, on-line payment and marketing.
Fashion Source brings together the worlds suppliers of footwear, leather goods, luggage, leather and non-leather apparel, upholstery and accessories.

"The American market buys 64 percent of the worlds production," Bianchi noted. "With Si, we are creating a unique meeting place for all the elements in the supply chains of these industries."

Si is managed by CMP Princeton Inc., which is affiliated with CMP Asia Ltd., Asia's largest independent trade fair organizer and publisher with 73 media products comprising 61 trade shows and 12 publications. United Business Media (NYSE: UNEWY), parent company of CMP Asia, is one of the world's leading business-to-business media and information companies.
