J2ME applications can now be verified and optimized before provisioned onto a mobile device

Ottawa, Ontario. -- July 11, 2002- Wireless operating companies (WOC) and Mobile Applications Infrastructure providers (MAIP) can now using jAppVerify verify" J2ME applications before provisioning them to a mobile device. jAppVerifyTM enables WOC and MAIP to process a J2ME application through a number of verification steps to verify that a given mobile device has all the resources required by an application and would run on the mobile device. jAppVerify reduces testing costs for WOCs and MAIPs, improves customer experience since users only see the application that work for their phones. jAppVerify provides WOCs and MAIPs ability to limit the APIs used by applications and provides suggestions on optimization of applications.
