Through the vision of Patricia Chan, a practicing physical therapist and alternative medicine expert, Natural Essence Bodyworks began its West Coast operations and the creation of Once Upon A Dream in September 2001. Chan received a Doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Herbal Healers Academy and a B.A. in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California.
