POLONIA GLOBAL FUND ANNOUNCES GIVING CIRCLES CONTEST
Giving Circles Named After Ancient Slavic 'Spirits' Highlight $200 Patriot Bond Contest
ALBANY, NY -- July 17, 2002 Polonia Global Fund (PGF), a charity featuring platforms of service focused on children and families and their relationship to global society, announced today that it has instituted a new charitable giving program called Giving Circles. The circles are named after ancient Slavic spirits with a modern twist.
Mr. James Konicki, the organization's treasurer noted "Donors can choose their level and become part of a wonderful group of generous, forward thinking people doing good on a global basis." He also stated, "PGF chose the names of the levels based on the traditions and myths present in Slavic culture. The ideals evoked by the stories surrounding these spirits speak to the needs present in the world today. Among these are neighborliness, having a global viewpoint, and being grounded in the good we do."
In conjunction with the Giving Circles, PGF announced a $200 Patriot Bond contest. Donors making a gift at any level are automatically entered into the contest. Donors also receive various incentive gifts in each of the four (4) circles. The basic giving circle starts at $50.
Information about the work of PGF and Giving Circles is available on-line at www.pgf.cc or by calling (518) 765-2657.
