Fauna Rescue, Inc. and the New Hampshire Avicultural Society Hold Open House
Meet the rescue volunteers, avian residents, veterinarians, local club members and others at our first Open House. Free refreshments and snacks. Learn out our community programs and the wonderful world of parrots.
Curious about parrots? Maybe you already have one?
Did you know there was a companion bird club in Nashua?
Did you also know there was an avian rescue organization in Nashua?
The 'New Hampshire Avicultural Society' (NHAS) and 'Fauna Rescue, Inc.' are holding an open house and invite you to join us for a social evening of talks, presentations, live parrots and refreshments.
Meet the NHAS club members to share their stories and experiences. Volunteers from Fauna Rescue, Inc. will also bring along some of their current feathered residents for you to meet. Karen Herman, NHAS President; Linda Wisner, Fauna Rescue Director; Dr. Melissa Magnuson, Housecall Veterinary Service and chair of Fauna Rescue's "Senior's Pet Program"; and other supporters will be on hand to present information and answer questions.
This is a great way to find out about both these organizations and their community programs (such as the "Senior's Pet Program" that provides low-cost veterinary care to seniors and the handicapped). If you want to make a difference in volunteering, foster care, education or looking for a club to join - come on down and visit with us on Sunday, July 28, 2002 from 6pm to 9pm at the Nashua Seniors Center, 70 Temple St. Nashua, NH.
Call Karen at 883-3121, email: karen@nhas.info or Linda at 889-5035, email: linda@faunarescue.org for more information or visit our websites at www.nhas.info and www.faunarescue.org
