Chaired by Mr Dave Barton, SKIP Owner
Speaker: Dr. Chris Spanswick, Consultant Anaesthetist, Hope Hospital Pain Clinic, Salford. Talking about treatments of RSD/CRPS and why some will work and some won't. A very interesting man, well informed and highly respected. Patron of RSD UK.
Speaker: Dr Rachel Gorodkin, Rhuematologist, also of Hope Hospital. Has undertaken research work in to RSD/CRPS and will be talking about research to date and proposed research. Promises to be very interesting
Speaker: Dr Morris, Consultant Anaesthetist, Northern General Hospital, Sheffield. Talking about early diagnosis and early treatments in RSD/CRPS and explaining the clinic he works in, actively looking for potential RSD/CRPS patients and seeing them as early as possible. Hopefully this is the way all clinics of the future will work.
Speaker: Derrick Phillips, RSD Alert Owner, speaking about his own early diagnosis and tying in well with Dr. Morris' talk. Derrick is a very good speaker and has a wealth of experience within the RSD/CRPS community. An important part of the conference, giving hope to many of those more recently diagnosed.
Mr Dave Barton, Senior Nurse Lecturer and SKIP owner (Supporting Kids In Pain). Promises to be a lively and interesting talk, content uncertain at present.
We are still looking for other speakers to give the day a broad scope of information, we have approached two major HBOT treatment centres, and they are unfortunately unable to help. We are approaching a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist is trying to re-arrange a schedule to attend, and we hope to have a benefits advisor joining us too. More information on this as soon as we have it.
We are also holding a Friday Afternoon social gathering in the lounge area for those travelling the previous day and allow others to finally meet those that they have been emailing for the last few months!!
Cost
Adults 30.00
Children 20.00
This is to include the full day conference, buffet lunch and tea/coffee in the afternoon. However, if we receive more than 200 bookings the cost of childrens bookings may be reduced accordingly, or refunded if we reach sufficient numbers to cover a full refund as we realise that funding a family to an event like this can be very expensive.
