Klatu Announces 16 New ASP E-Commerce Sign Ups
KLATU INC. an Application Service Provider of International E-Commerce solutions, announced that 16 companies have subscribed to their e-commerce application. The initial group of 16 subscribers, along with 60 additional prospects, culminates an 18-month development and marketing effort.
eCom
Klatu's eCom is a true international e-commerce solution. The underlying application integrates extensive international e-commerce functionality, CNET's highly structured content and images, along with pricing and availability information from major supply chain partners.
The application's functionality includes real-time pricing and availability, multiple payment methods, product filtering, multiple INCOTERM pricing, landed-cost pricing, multiple languages and currencies. Customers may purchase under various Incoterms including DDU and DDP landed cost. eCom provides also performs export compliance checking and contains a fully operational shopping cart.
Customers using eCom may now select from over 10 transportation partners serving the Caribbean and Latin America. These include regional cargo airlines such as Cayman Airways, Amerijet, BahamasAir, Group Taca and DCA (Dutch Caribbean Airlines), forwarder/carriers such as BaxGlobal and GeoLogistics and parcel/cargo/couriers such as FedEx and UPS.
ECom is very affordable, powerful and easily customized to a customer's requirements.
Uses
eCom has been designed for international sales but also handles domestic sales. Resellers, Distributors or Manufacturers would use eCom internally as a quotation tool and to allow their supply chain partners and to transact e-commerce sales. The application brings supply chain visibility to to the consumer by displaying available products with customizable pricing.
Latin American and US resellers could use eCom to expand their catalogs to include real-time pricing and availability from major US distributors and manufacturers, enhancing their on-hand inventories. eCom allows the reseller to compare pricing and display the supplier(s) that have inventory. Distributors could use eCom to provide their resellers with inventory visibility for their regional inventories. Distributors could also offer reseller-branded web sites promoting the products they carry. Manufacturers could use eCom to power their direct e-stores to direct orders to the supply chain partner that has the product in stock. Leads and enquiries would also be similarly directed towards the firm that has inventory on hand.

Klatu's international e-commerce solutions are licensed on a monthly, yearly or multi-year subscription-basis. Requests for customizations are welcomed, will be quoted on a turnkey basis and supported on an ongoing basis.
