New Online Drama Sizzles With Romance And Suspense

Presented in eight weekly installments, Blossom Lake is a story about life, lust, drugs and citrus in a small Florida town. Expect to find cool cars, hot nights, passionate women, family secrets, murder and, oh yeah, there's even a hurricane.

THIS SUMMER Come on down to Central Florida. Spend a little time at Blossom Lake.

Blossom Lake, where passions sizzle hotter than the lightning on a summer's evening, where secrets are buried deeper than the roots of the Kavanaugh's orange groves, where greed and intolerance poison lives.

Meet January McCorvey: Born during the worst freeze in the town's memory, Jan grew up dirt poor. Now, after many years away, she's coming home to settle old scores. ... But she may discover that some passions never die.

Meet Kendall Kavanaugh: The younger son of the most prosperous citrus grower in the county, Kendall fights to hold on to the land he loves, while his brother's greed threatens to undermine the family's future.

You'll also meet Amberleigh and Josh. Beautiful and bright, fifteen-year-old Amberleigh is adored by all, but none more so than Josh. Josh, raised in affluence, is now tormented by the memory of a horrible accident.

Meet Milena Fernandez and sons Jorge and Ernesto. They risked their lives fleeing from Cuba, dreaming of a better life in the States. Instead, they find tragedy and despair in Blossom Lake.

Meet Jim. He returned from the army a hero and has since distinguished himself on the Blossom Lake Police Force. But many in the town, including his own mamma, are shocked by his engagement to Roselle. Some things just aren't meant to be.

You say that you can't find Blossom Lake on any map of Florida? Well, my friends, it is there. Head West on I-4 from Orlando, stop by any roadside fruit stand and ask: "Which way to Raymon Kavanaugh's groves?" You may only get an awkward silence, or a mumbled, "Don't ask me," but if you're real lucky, somebody might whisper the directions.

Or you can come back here in July and read the full story from one with firsthand knowledge of the lurid events.

Blossom Lake will be presented in eight weekly installments, beginning July 15, 2002.

The drama will be available to read online, or to download in .pdf or .lit format.

Blossom Lake contains material that is not suitable for younger readers: sex, strong language, illegal drug use. If this were a movie, it would be rated R.

Consider yourself warned in advance.
