Song contest Director promotes alliance with independent music associations to widen search for songwriting talent.
TULSA, OK -- July 26, 2002 -- David Kindred, Managing Director, Jim Halsey Company, Inc. and Director of the Billboard Song Contest, announced today that the worlds leading authority on music is launching the biggest search yet for the best and brightest new songwriting talent. David Kindred said, The mission of the Jim Halsey Company, Inc. is to provide educational resources to those seeking careers in the music and entertainment industry. The offer extended through Independent Music Associations allows members to enter up to two songs in two categories at no additional charge, a potential $60 savings to the independent songwriter.
The Top Winner's of each of the 8 categories will be featured on the Winner's CD, which is produced by Disc Makers and distributed throughout the industry to Music Publishers, Record Company A&R, Producer's, Artists, Managers and Agents.
