Safehouse Security, famous for training law enforcement and security professionals as well as high profile executives and their families in Security Evasive Driving all over the world, has started regular courses at the Irwindale Speedway, just off the 605 Freeway in Irwindale, California. This special two-day, intensive program is available to the general public, and is recommended for international travelers, executives, or anyone wishing to raise their level of security while behind the wheel.
Worldwide nearly eighty percent of kidnappings, and a host of other crimes including car-jackings, assaults and even assassinations are committed while the victims are in transit, usually in their own cars. The Safehouse Evasive Driving Course teaches people both to lower their risk of becoming a target of these crimes and to deal with these dangerous situations should it arise. With Americans becoming more and more of a target around the world, and even here at home, this training can help anyone stay safe while traveling by automobile.
Safehouse has trained over 2000 security professionals as well as the executives and families they protect in some of the world's most dangerous places. The Safehouse management and staff consist of both experienced professional racecar drivers and former military special operations personnel. This allows them to impart a unique vision to the training, giving their students the best possible instruction in both vehicle handling skills and the application of these skills to today's uncertain world. The 16-hour course is divided into about 4 hours of classroom instruction on terrorism and transportation security, and about 12 hours on the track learning to handle the vehicle in extreme situations.
